What are you waiting for? The time for change is now!
“We need to fix access problems, exceed patient expectations, improve transparency, efficiency and cost, and simplify everything.” -Aaron Crane
The U.S. health system trails far behind a number of other high-income countries when it comes to affordability, administrative efficiency, equity, and health care outcomes, according to a new Commonwealth Fund study. Their researchers rank the United States last overall in providing equitably accessible, affordable, high-quality health care. Among the 11 nations surveyed, the U.S. is the only one without universal health insurance coverage. Other research suggests that the U.S. spends less than other high-income countries on social services, such as child care, education, paid sick leave, and unemployment insurance, which could improve population health. We need to do something quickly, before someone else takes our lunch.
“Waste in the healthcare system is in the billions, wait times are too long, chronic care visits should be in a lower cost setting, and the majority of consumers believe they pay too much for the quality received. No wonder the loyalty and trust of consumers is at an all-time low. New market entrants are poised to disrupt primary care and take 30% of our market share in less than ten years. Think what that will do to downstream revenues. It’s not too late to solve this!”

The US Healthcare system is coming dangerously close to a tipping point, passed the point of no return. It is so far out of balance in the cost and quality equation. Its value is not meeting the expectations of its patients, communities and financiers. Its insular focus on existing structure and norms has perpetuated an inability to get beyond these unsatisfactory outcomes. Technology and consumer unrest have opened the door to new solutions for personal health management. Examples are popping up daily.
Aaron Crane founded ARC Advisory Services, LLC in 2022 based on his values of service, fiscal responsibility and rising to the challenge to engage with leaders in the healthcare community who are ready to move forward to increase the organizational value proposition, deliver an outstanding patient care experience, and bridge the unsustainable gap caused by health inequity.
Crane believes that success moving forward requires effective:
Collaboration based on trust among the parties.
Effective problem-solving including root cause analysis and the scientific method
Disciplined focus on key performance indicators
Personal accountability to establish meaningful targets with transparency to others
ARC Advisory Services, LLC is positioned to provide interim executive leadership and/or consulting expertise especially when the organization is stressed and requires new thinking or approaches to solve big problems or minimize business risks on the immediate and mid-term horizon.
